Luxfer Gas Cylinders Showcase

Luxfer has millions of cylinders in service around the world - and is investing significantly in solutions to store and transport hydrogen, connecting the dots of the hydrogen supply chain via virtual gas pipelines.

Critical to supporting a hydrogen distribution infrastructure in the UK and further afield, the very latest milestone for Luxfer Gas Cylinders is a purpose-built production facility at its Nottingham site.

24 3 Luxfer G Stor Hydrosphere

It is home to one of the company’s largest innovation projects - the G-Stor™ Hydrosphere – which delivers an industry-leading level of hydrogen storage capacity. The very first of these Multiple Element Gas Containers (MEGCs) will be introduced from summer 2024.

In addition, Luxfer’s alternative fuel engineers are developing hydrogen powered systems for a range of mobility applications – spanning HGVs, buses, trains, tractors, marine vessels, materials handling, aviation solutions and more.

As pioneers in gas containment – and with a legacy of more than two decades in advancing use of alternative fuels - Luxfer Gas Cylinders is at the forefront of helping its partners meet their net zero targets.

This work reflects Luxfer Gas Cylinders’ global mission too - making a difference to help create a safe, clean and energy efficient world.
