Mira Technology Park Showcase
MIRA Tech Park is a global leading location for new vehicle research & development with the engineering expertise and testing facilities of HORIBA MIRA combined with a sustainable location for tenants.
They play a critical role in turning groundbreaking research into commercialised product through application, verification, and global connections.
MIRA Tech Park has made significant investments in hydrogen infrastructure including green hydrogen production through electrolysis from solar in its Energy Hub for an R&D supply and ‘hydrogen ready’ vehicle development facilities including crash safety, climatic chambers, and testing in thermal management and electromagnetic compatibility. This enables the full product development of new hydrogen vehicles and enabling clean technologies to take place onsite.
Existing tenants include hydrogen vehicle manufacturers like HVS, hydrogen technology developers like Viritech and industrial hydrogen fuel cell engineers like Ceres Power. The parent company HORIBA have an extensive offer in the hydrogen value chain with precision equipment in evaluating fuel cell materials, quality of manufacture, and final performance as well as equipment and expertise in optimising hydrogen production processes and managing the purity of electrolysis inputs and outputs.
MIRA Tech Park is also home to a Centre of Excellence in future transport skills through a partnership with Higher and Further Education in the MIRA Technology Institute and industry-led corporate courses. Both have a strong hydrogen offer from fuel cell maintenance skills to understanding the role of hydrogen in decarbonising the economy.
